Pakistan Journal of American Studies (PJAS) is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal produced by Area Study Centre for Africa, North and South America, Quaid-I-Azam University, as part of its research and publication program. PJAS holds a unique position in being the only journal of American Studies in Pakistan. The journal is published bi-annually in Spring and Fall every year.

To create an online platform for the publication of academic journals and research papers, accessible globally, to promote knowledge on regions studied at the Area Study Center in Islamabad. The system should be user-friendly, with search, submission, peer-review, integration with databases, handle different file formats and preserve and archive content, open-source for community contributions.
The solution is to develop an open-source journal management system that meets the requirements outlined in the problem statement. The system would feature a user-friendly interface, advanced search functionality, submission and peer-review process, integration with existing databases, handle different file formats, preserve and archive content. The open-source model would allow for community contributions and improvements to make the system robust and efficient. The final solution would be a web-based platform with all these functionalities, easily accessible and user-friendly to promote knowledge dissemination of the regions studied at the Area Study Center in Islamabad.
